A CHILD OF GOD IS NOT A SINNER

You must have heard the sermon that a born again Christian is not a sinner since he has put on the nature of Christ, and even if he sins, he is still not a sinner because he has confessed Jesus as Lord and Personal Saviour. But is that really true?

The scripture explains to us in Romans 8:1-3, that "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh." This scripture calls for a proper understanding. The word Flesh here means Sin, and Spirit means holiness(also righteousness).

In other words, the above scripture is saying that there is no condemnation to them who have accepted Jesus, who have separated themselves from sin(the things of the world) and are pursuers of holiness. I decided to point out this scripture because I have heard a lot of misinterpretations about it. I have heard preachers because of this scripture say that we live in the New Testament that the old is not relevant and I laugh. Why? Because whoever says that lacks understanding of the word.

The truth about Christian rules and regulations is that it does not make room for double standard. Prophet Elijah said "How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him"(1Kings 18:21). You cannot serve God and the world, and be on both sides, because no man can divide his heart between God and the world.

A lot of preachers paint it to you and say that His grace covers you in sin. Apostle Paul made it clear that you can't be in sin and talk about grace. "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?"(Romans 6:1-2). In like manner, "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid"(Romans 6:14-15). Shall we sin because we have grace? God forbid because God can not be taken for granted. You can't be in sin and talk of grace.

If for any reason sin has dominion over you, you are not a Christian. You can not love the world and love God. Jesus says "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon"(Matthew 6:24).

It does not matter whether you are a Pastor, Bishop, General Overseer/Superintendent or you claim to be born-again or ‘man of God’, as long as you are enjoying sin, you are of the devil. How can a man who stand on the alter and preach be the one crucifying Christ the second time? Every sinner is of the devil. Yes, there are times when believers make mistakes and you run back to God for mercy and after that you have to stay away from such act. But a deliberate act of sin is great wickedness against God.

"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother"(1John 3:8-10). Whosoever is born again does not sin because the seed of the Lord is in the person.

God has given us by the new birth, real, spiritual life, and that life can never become extinct. For the divine seed of grace abides in believers and, so long it remains, he cannot sin, because he is born of God. Therefore, Jesus made us free from the Law of death and planted the word into us through the Holy Spirit and the Word which abides in the heart of a Christian is not a mere gospel, it is rather that word, as made vital and efficacious by the influences of His Spirit.

Any sermon by any preacher that does not aim at planting this life-changing seed in the heart of his listeners rather making them comfortable in sin by making them believe that grace abound in sin, is not of God, but that of the devil. Beware children of God. Souls are dying and going to hell. It is time to Get Understand about the Truth of the gospel. Do not be deceived.

"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God"(1Corinthians 6:9-10). This scripture explains the position of unbelievers and those who are playing church.

Jesus redeemed us from the law of death so "That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit"(Romans 8:4). Jesus paid the price so we will not walk in sin anymore. If you are among those who believe that you are free from the law yet enjoy sin, it is important you surrender your life to God and accept Christ in truth and spirit.

If your pastor is telling you that sin doesn't matter as long as your are saved by grace so therefore encourages you, check that preacher very well. He is a Wolfe in human clothing beware!  If you love God, you will fear God. A man that fears God does not have room in his heart to accommodate sin because he is aware that God hate sin and he knows the consequences of sin.

REPENT AND BE SAVED FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord"(Romans 6:23). Holiness is the pathway to the kingdom of God. God did not bend His rules for Jesus. He will not break His standard for any man. Repentance is not an Option. Repentance is a Commandment. Salvation is free and the best Miracle anyone can get is Salvation. JESUS IS COMING BACK AGAIN!!!
