THE WEAPON CALLED DELILAH
Following the rape allegation leveled against pastor Biodun by Busola, with the story trending seriously on social media platforms, I felt the need to talk about the story of Samson and Delilah. Samson was a man of unbeatable physical strength, but when he fell in love with a woman named Delilah, he became beatable. Samson abandoned his God-assigned goal to please the woman who had stolen his affections. This indiscretion led to blindness, imprisonment, and powerlessness. Even worse, the Holy Spirit departed from him.
Samson was a person who started with great potential but destroyed it on self-indulgence and sinful living. He fell for sin and allowed himself to be consumed by it. I tried not to write this, but whenever I’m alone the story of Samson and Delilah pop up. It is important you know that no matter how great or anointed a person is, once sin is in your space, ask Samson very well, that is the only thing that can destroy a great man.
As I kept pondering about this whole thing, I felt in my spirit that a Samson of our time is been disgraced by the devil. The weapon called Delilah was a weapon sent to Samson when other weapons failed to penetrate. This weapon is seriously destroying great potentials in our generation today.
I met a friend sometime ago, who told me a story of how he met a lady some years back in one of the countries you usually travelled to. According to this young man, he made money at his very young age but got carried away by his wealth. He loved to club and gallivant with girls. One particular day in the club, he carried a young lady home. He said that night, immediately he finished making out with the lady, he felt emptiness inside of him and he knew that something very important in his life left him immediately. Ever since then things have not been the same with him again. When I met this young man he was really struggling and trying to find balance again.
This is a lesson to so many upcoming anointed and the ones that are already preaching on the altar. You must understand that grace does not abound in sin. You can’t get away with evil all the time, but sometimes it’s that sin that you think can not hold you captive that will be used against you.
Today in our world, we see a lot of young preachers, looking sleek, out speaking, and teaches the word so well like they know the word of God back and front. They are carriers of anointing and because of their uniqueness in styles they get carried away. So many of them once they commit sin, do not look back, rather they feel very comfortable and confidently preaching the gospel in sin. The Bible made it clear to us that Sins always find a sinner out. “behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out”(Number32:23).
The devil shot this weapon in the garden of Eden when he visited Eve and asked Eve to go use it on her husband. The reason the devil did that was to know how effective the weapon is. The same weapon the devil shot at Joseph, but Joseph understood and fled. However, when the devil shot the weapon at Samson the great, he succeeded. Samson was disgraced and later killed together with his enemies through the weapon called Delilah.
This weapon has been seriously distributed today all over the world and a lot of young anointed and even older ones are opened to it when they fall for their fleshy desires. This indiscretion has led to spiritual blindness(they have eyes but can not see), imprisonment(slave to sin), powerlessness(spiritual weakness), and even loose the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
The weapon called Delilah is seriously moving in the church and in the world today. This weapon is in human form. It can come inform of a woman and also a man. If anyone had told pastor Biodun that a particular weapon that was shot at him in Ilorin will manifest when he started living in Abuja after 20years, he won’t had believed it. This was made possible because he never amended his ways. He allowed his sins become an iniquity in life. He found companion in sin and the only thing continuous sin does is to cloth one with filthy garment(Zechariah3:1-5).
Delilah(woman) is one very dangerous weapon that can destroy an anointed and a great man. Now, you can’t call yourself a pastor or a preacher and be comfortable in sin. Never! Light and darkness can never work together. It is essential you know that a child of God is not a Sinner(1John 3:8-9).
No matter the sin a man commits, Jesus does not disgrace, He gives room and time for change. The devil is the accuser of brethren. What he does is to wait for man, when the man is about to prosper in the things of God or his prospering, he strikes. Using your past and present sins against you if you are still living in sin or not prayerfully communicating with God.
However, God must have been warning you just the way He warned prophet Samson the great. It’s a must you know that God and sin can not work together. When a man feel very comfortable in sin, the Holy Spirit departs from him and when the Holy Spirit departs, the sins you’ve been getting away with before will bring you down. Grace is too Holy to abound in sin for long. Grace only gives you time to change your ways and separate from sin.
To those who know how to say God Understands, learn from this. You can not be in sin and say His grace abound. Sooner or later if you don’t change your ways, your sins will find you out. Turn away from sin, most especially the sin of fornication. Fornication is a weapon that destroys glory completely. Stay away from it if you must use your God given anointing well. Acts11:6, made it known that followers of Christ are called Christians. As a Christian you must be Christ like. Living like Christ means understanding the essences of living a holy life.
I write this in tears. I don’t want to but it kept coming. I just have to pen it down and let the young anointed and older ones who are indulging seriously in this act of fornication to beware. If you are not careful and repent, your sins will not only find you out, it will disgrace you and it is very painful because this sinful act usually affects the house of God and the name of Christ. Even when there are weapons that had penetrated, only true repentance can send the weapons out of your life. Turn away from Sin and leave a holy life. God and sin can never work together. Repent and be saved. For the wages of sin is death but the gift Of God is eternal life. Jesus is a gift with a lift. Live a holy life!
