THREE WAYS TO CULTIVATE PATIENCE

"Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting.” Anonymous

Patience is the level of endurance one can have before negativity. Patience is essential to daily life—and might be key to a happy one. It is said that good things really do come to those who wait.

There are people who have lost so much because of lack of patience. Many who can not exercise patient usually want too but can seem to.

However, It seems there are everyday ways to build patience as well. Here are some strategies suggested.

1. Practice gratitude. People who are grateful at every little thing could hold on to things for so long and eventually take anger out of their system. If we’re thankful for what we have today, we’re not desperate for more stuff or better circumstances immediately.

2. Reframe the situation.  Impatient does not just involues conscious thoughts. It is a delibrate reaction. It is not an emotional response. It can sometimes breaks out of an individual as a result of anger. For instance when a person says something hurtful to you, the response that follows, is not an emotion one. Rather it might even be a reaction of hate or anger. Patience is linked to self-control, and consciously trying to regulate our emotions can help us train our self-control muscles.

3. Practice mindfulness. People who are mindful of words are always patient in life. They are usually very careful of what they say to people or how they act. I recommend mindful practice to every individual. Taking a deep breath and noticing your feelings of anger or overwhelm can help you respond with more patience.

Patience is priceless and could even be one of the keys to unlocking potential, solving problem and living a more fulfilling life.
